As a member of the REDMIX project team, researcher Adnen el Ghali delivered a paper entitled ‘The Akhdam of Yemen: Mixedness, Migrations, and the Construction of Social Status in Travelogues (1762–1962)’ as part of his participation in the ‘Economic and Social History’ Section at the 12th Congress of the Association of Francophone Historical and Archaeological Circles of Belgium, held concurrently with the 59th Congress of the Federation of Archaeological and Historical Circles of Belgium. The event took place at the Royal Academy of Belgium, Brussels, from 20 to 23 August 2026.
