We are thrilled to announce the launch of the second REDMIX Project Webinar Series, a new online initiative designed to explore the complex histories across the Red Sea and the Persian Gulf through interdisciplinary research.
Our first series, entitled “Histories across the Red Sea and the Persian Gulf,” will take place online via the project’s WebEx channel:

This three-part event features presentations on key themes such as slavery, manumission, and social change in the Persian Gulf; imperial Iran’s role in the Red Sea; and the symbolism of the color black in Iranian history. The seminars will be held on the 14th, the 28th, and the 29th January at 17:00 or at 17:30 CET.
The series is organized and moderated by Sara Zanotta (University of Turin).
